Right from the time when we pave our way towards the competetive world, we start getting views from one and all to focus on career options. But the irony is, We realise it very very late, about what is our piece of cake and what not.
In today's world of regularly advancing technologies and all, we keep ourselves updated with each and every fact, but do not try and speak to our parents about life.This is the sole basis of each of the problems which may follow afterwards. Right from our early schooling, in some or the other way, we are forced to think of doing what our father or mother is doing, which ends up being our fate. One must be clear in his or her mind, about what he or she is good at. If deciding to pursue engg. or medical , one must be sure if he or she can handle all the pressure in the respective colleges to achieve that valuable degree.
In today's world, there is a widened scope for each and every thing, so one must not hesitate to share what they are good at , with their parents. If you convince them properly, making them sure that you are clear in your approach, they would definitely support you.
It is not necessary that, if the father is a good engineer,or a doctor, the son or daughter would be the same. Even if one decides to do what his or her parents are doing or they wish for them to do, they can not go further with it , if they do not have that interest. Even if they somehow achieve that degree, they wouldn't be happy, and can end up being frustrated. I would like to build up on a single thing, which is for the students, to think and decide their area of interest. If one feels positive about doing something, they should do it, irrespective of any other thing, as there is an added fear of that pressure later, which could end up resulting disastrous.
